Job Description


The Business Development Analyst (BDA) will be responsible for managing a
portfolio of small and medium sized Visa clients, and to drive business growth
for Visa and its clients. The BDA will develop and maintain the relationship
between Visa and its clients, represent Visa to its clients, and execute the
strategy for the markets. The BDA will identify opportunities for business
growth, and work with clients and internal Visa stakeholders to execute on
them. The BDA will work closely with the country team and the Mid-Market
Business Development team to create and implement initiatives, solutions and
processes to grow our business in this client segment. In addition to overall
ownership for an assigned portfolio of clients, the BDA will also drive sales
of Value-Added Services such as risk products, data products and advisory
services to all Mid-Market clients across GCC.
Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Area
* Handle all aspects of a portfolio of Mid-Market clients to grow Visa's business with them
* Support Country Managers in building and rolling-out a standardized service model for Mid-Market clients across Bahrain and Oman
* Identify and execute on opportunities for revenue growth within the Mid-Market segment and deliver on the assigned revenue targets
* Develop product roadmap and sales plan to grow the business, collaborate with all members of the Visa GCC team to drive sales
* Deliver incremental revenue through sales of Value-Added Services such as risk products, data products and advisory services that meet needs of clients.
* Support clients in obtaining of new licenses, opening of new BINs, card design and authorization improvement initiatives
* Upskill clients in a targeted manner through training sessions, webinars and workshops
* Work with other members of the GCC Mid-Market team and the Bahrain & Oman Country Managers, including taking on additional responsibilities to balance workload when required
* Attend to service requests, queries and issues of Mid-Market clients, and provide timely and effective solutions
* Manage activities such as maintaining and updating clients contact lists, and keeping CRM software tools up to date.
* Ensure compliance with Visa requirements of service levels, integrity of records and complaint resolution
* Create and publish periodic client reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly) as agreed with the Country Manager- Bahrain & Oman) explaining portfolio performance and comparison against targets
* Maintain regular contact with clients via phone calls, emails, sales visits, and client meetings
Reporting Relationships & Interactions
* Based in Riyadh, this role reports to Regional Manager- KBO, with a second reporting line to the Country Manager Bahrain and Oman
* This position will involve frequent interaction with key Visa stakeholders, including financial institutions, processors, acquirers etc.
* This individual is expected to interact effectively with all levels of Visa management and staff
* Strong collaboration skills and teamwork are a must as the individual will have to work closely with colleagues located across the globe in various functions like Marketing, Products, Merchant Solutions, Finance, Consulting, Risk etc.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both
remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the
office ‎2-‎3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general
guidepost of being in the office ‎50% or more of the time based on business
needs.


Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, with at least ‎4 years professional
* experience in retail banking / financial services / payments sector
* Experience in business development, with execution focus and ability to deliver against tight deadlines
* Understanding of the four-party payments ecosystem and respective roles and responsibilities of each participant
* Experience in external client facing roles delivering projects or products
* Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen with ability to structure compelling offers and commercial deals
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be able to interface with clients and with senior leaders within Visa. Able to explain business and technical concepts to a broad audience in an approachable way to influence and drive adoption
* Ability to operate independently to create a plan, obtain buy-in from stakeholders and execute effectively on multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
* Collaborative and resilient, able to rally corporate resources and functional experts to drive business objectives
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Quick learner and able to deal with complexity
* Ability to understand marketplace dynamics including the regulatory environment, technological and consumer behavioral shifts and tying this back to impact on Visa
* Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), with ability to utilize systems to extract, capture and interpret data
* Sales, negotiation & influencing skills
* Creation of professional briefs and presentations
