The Copywriter will work closely with the Communications Director, the
Creative Director, and other members of the Communications and Marketing team
to write and edit content for a variety of projects, working closely with the
account and design teams to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and articulate
messaging.
JAX is a joint venture between VICE and MBC Group. JAX Media's primary
directive is to create a leading platform for quality digital Arabic language
content centred on modern culture anchored in Saudi Arabia. While this role
will focus on the delivery of the JAX Media proposition, it should also
support and responsibly represent VICE's growing presence in KSA more broadly.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* To research and write creative content for campaigns, presentations, and partners
* To contribute directly in shaping campaigns concepts and approaches
* To craft Arabic and English content as needed for projects
* Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines
* Present completed ideas to clients/team members
* Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices
* Professionally translating press releases from Arabic to English and vice versa
* Localizing global IPs' terminologies to meet communication objectives
* Drafting press releases
* Translating presentations
* Writing original content for presentations
* Coordinate with PR agencies to meet translation objectives and communication needs.
* Source images and other content.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Fluent in Arabic and English
* Proven experience delivering creative and cultural communications in KSA
* 2+ years of relevant work experience
* Strong knowledge of KSA cultural landscape
* Experience navigating cultural and governmental considerations in KSA
* Strong research skills
