Project Description:
Bechtel and its consortium partners are excited to begin hiring the completion
teams which will finalize the monumental Riyadh Metro Project (RMP), currently
estimated at 94% complete. The BACS consortium, which includes Almabani
General Contractors, Consolidated Contractors Company, and Siemens, is
responsible for the design, construction, train cars, and signaling as well as
electrification and integration of the new lines to the rest of the system.
Riyadh 's population of nearly 6 million is forecast to increase to 8 million
by 2030. The new metro system will meet the demands of the growing population
while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality.

Summary of Responsibilities:
CSA Site Engineer, reports to AFE and mainly responsible for supervising field
engineering activities & field engineering coordination for Elevated
Stations, Depots & P&Rs. Some of the specific activities involved, but not
limited to:
Essential Job Duties:
* Monitor and expedite engineering issues, coordinate with resident engineering team, home office engineering team for timely resolution of PTR (FCD, RFI, NCR etc.) documents and engineering deliverables.
* Resolve technical issues holding up work by understanding the problem, working with Engineering or other stakeholders as required and pushing a suitable solution through.
* Ensure work is performed in compliance with project specifications and approved ITPs.
* Monitor quality inspections performed by contractors to verify compliance with inspection and test plans.
* Ensure quantities are reported correctly and in timely manner.
* Coordinate and assist system completion of direct hire and subcontractor 's scope of work.
* Attend progress meetings, coordination meetings, quality meetings with subcontractor and other departments.
* Reviews specifications, purchase orders, subcontracts, inspection reports, delivery schedules, instruction manuals and technical data.
* Support documentation turnover
* Coordinates with engineering design on constructability issues.
* Review as-builts submitted by contractors.
* Provide weekly installed quantity reporting updates of assigned work areas.
* Instills and maintains a strong HSE culture within the team, leading by example and actively engaging in all HSE related matters, including but not limited to JHA development and briefings, HSE TBTs, Prestart meetings with site teams, HSE walkdowns and where necessary standdowns for non-compliance.
* Instills and maintains a quality driven culture through clear and concise direction to the site teams, including page turning briefings, quality TBTs, close supervision for compliance to the design and specifications and the highest quality of finishing.
Qualifications, Experience, Job Knowledge, and Skill set Requirements:
* A recognized Bachelor 's or Master's Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering
* Minimum 8 years of professional experience, or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction of large-scale building projects with good exposure to high end Architectural finishes / fit out.
* Prior experience working in Metro projects is preferred.
* Thorough knowledge of international standards and specification and codes as applicable, including various Safety procedures and practices associated with the construction.
* Knowledge and experience in the implementation of ES&H and quality management systems
* Experience in KSA / Middle east / GCC is preferred.
* Must be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills to maintain a positive work environment between all parties including the client, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
* Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment, with a passion to take ownership of projects and provide sound technical leadership to contractor's staff and field engineers.
* The role requires heavy on-site presence, and can be physically demanding, a good level of physical health is required.
