We are currently looking for a Medical Advisor based in KSA to be
responsible for establishing, fostering, cultivating and maintaining credible
and unbiased medical and scientific dialogue with multiple external entities,
including but not limited external scientific and medical leaders, academic
medical institutions, disease and patient societies and healthcare
professional organizations. The end goal is to act as the conduit for
accurate, unbiased and updated clinical, scientific and medical information
between the external scientific community in the assigned region and the
company. One of the main goal of the position is to help in training and
supporting the Commercial team in the region.


Your Main Responsibilities will Include:



  • Provide a world class field based expert Medical/Clinical Service to customers, Healthcare professionals and distributors within the region and designated therapeutic area.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with cooperative groups, medical associations and external experts within the therapeutic area in order to optimize the scientific community's knowledge of products and development activities within the medical community.

  • In collaboration with the Clinical team assist in identification of referral pathways, collect feedback on potential clinical development options from multi-disciplinary physicians and support patient recruitment activities as directed.

  • Provide and direct the provision of appropriate Medical/ Clinical guidance, education, technical and procedural guidance to Healthcare professionals, product users and distributors to support the safe and effective use of our products. This would include advice regarding patient selection and treatment.

  • Coordinate the ISRs (Investigator Sponsored Researches) at Regional level, ensuring that projects submitted are scientifically sound, acting as ISR Facilitator and as a link with the Investigator. Provides appropriate supporting the areas of investigator-initiated studies management and development.

  • Participate in training via quality medical education presentations for new field-based medical staff and field-based sales force.

  • Support publication strategies. Work with Medical Communications, Clinical, R&D and Marketing to ensure rapid and appropriate publication of in vitro, pre-clinical clinical data.

  • Work with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure seamless alignment of the Medical/Clinical Strategy within interventional Medicine and overall corporate strategy.

  • Provide key market insights and field feedback to home office.

  • Collaborate and share with Clinical, Innovation, Medical Affairs, Sales and Marketing ideas to overcome challenges and maximize opportunities related to clinical utility of Boston Scientific's products.

  • Participate in corporate wide inter-departmental project teams and or function as a patient-centric team leader lead for regional projects or initiatives as requested.

  • Work closely with Line Manager to optimize time and efficiency within a large geographic area in order to maximize patient outcomes.

  • Ensuring that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with Boston Scientific values.

  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as required by the Line Manager.


What We Are Looking For



  • Graduate level with ideally a post-graduate qualification and/or PhD or equivalent work experience. MD would be a benefit.

  • Based in KSA or willing to relocate.

  • Significant relevant experience within a multi-discipline role (i.e. with involvement in clinical plus nonclinical and/or CMC activities or regulatory affairs) ideally in an international matrix environment.

  • Experience working with KOLs.

  • Experience with impactful formal presentation and interaction with global/regional level experts is required.

  • Experience in Oncology / Interventional Oncology /Peripheral Interventions would be a plus.

  • Demonstrated credibility within the medical community.

  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts and ideas with a high degree of independence, professional maturity, strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial spirit

  • Strong analytic skills and a creative thinker who can solve problems.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop networks and maintain business relationships.

  • Careful planner with the tenacity to drive projects to conclusion.

  • Proven track record of results.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external customers.
