Job details

Supervises the operations of Central Patient Transport (CPT) and provides
patient services as needed in an effort to improve patient satisfaction.
Assures that standards of scheduling, patient care, and efficiency are
maintained in accordance with Hospital policies & procedures.


Essential Responsibilities and Duties


  • Supervises daily work and activities of subordinates, and plans, organizes and monitors operations of Patient Transport Services/Functions. Assigns work to subordinates, and develops and maintains the scheduling system, ensures coverage of all dispatching staff/areas, scheduling desks and Patient Care Assistant 's.

  • Directs, and categorizes patients when required to the various sections including distribution of procedure information booklets and assisting them when needed to arrive to their further destinations throughout the Hospital.

  • Conducts performance evaluations of staff in collaboration with Manager, Central Patient Transport. Provides guidance where necessary and liaises with the Manager if any further action is required.

  • Schedules staff assignments and monitors subordinates to ensure the most effective and efficient utilization of resources.

  • Establishes inventory of supplies, equipment and repairs requests, and maintains supply order/inventory system.

  • Responds to patient inquiries and complaints by directing the issues to the concerned department and/or appropriate representative to ensure a satisfactory solution, ensuring patient satisfaction.

  • Monitors transportation processes and conducts routine rounds to ensure staff are performing based on established Policies and Procedures, and ensures that equipment's are stored and maintained in a good condition.

  • Conducts a routine check-up on the wheelchairs, trollies, stretchers, etc., to evaluate their condition and conducts routine count on Hospital equipment's related to the patient transport.

  • Assists and participates in performance improvement plans.

  • Plans orientation and in-service programs for the assigned staff, reports to the Manger to identify training needs for staff.

  • Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.

  • Participates in self and other's education, training and development, as applicable.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Education

Master 's or Bachelor's Degree in Hospital/ Business Administration or other
related discipline is required.


Experience Required

One (‎1) year of related coordination experience with Master 's or three (‎3)
years with Bachelor's Degree is required.

  • Saudi Nationals only.
