We are looking for a Portfolio Manager - Fixed Income to join our team to be
based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Portfolio Manager will focus on Saudi
Arabia and support the implementation of our investment process and assist in
the management of day-to-day operations of portfolios and products investing
in sovereign and corporate bonds in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)
and Global Sukuk markets.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?
* Execute trades and orders for portfolio, ensuring relationships are maintained with sell-side counterparties and internal trading desks to ensure best execution services
* Support the day-to-day operational management of portfolios in conjunction with support teams
* Daily monitoring and management of portfolio risks and other parameters as defined under the investment process and within appropriate risk tolerances and constraints
* Perform detailed portfolio performance attribution and risk analysis in conjunction with the Performance Analysis & Investment Risk (PAIR) group
* Support the team's investment process through participation in research calls and contributing to formulating macro and micro views
* Generate trade ideas for the wide range of portfolios under management that include unconstraint portfolios, investment grade portfolios as well as multi-asset strategies
* Conduct ad hoc research, prepare presentations in support of senior PMs.
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be
successful?
* Bachelor's degree. CFA holder or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial services, preferably with a background in trading or fixed income markets
* Relevant CMA licenses will be a plus or to be acquired prior to commencement
* Strong interest in market dynamics and industry trends
* Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research concepts and tools. Specifically, bond math and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Strong critical thinking and analysis skills
* Communicates well with people at all levels
* High level of intelligence and business acumen; intellectually grounded
