Manufacturing Engineer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manufacturing support: Review of existing processes and implementation of new procedures or tooling to drive improvements in efficiency, lead-time reduction, as well as improvements to on-time-delivery and growth initiatives.
* Continuous improvement: use industry best practices to support or lead continuous improvement activities.
* Develop and maintain standard process documentation of work procedures.
* Track improvement gains and measure cost saving achieved through Process improvement initiatives.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support Health & Safety on the production/manufacturing area and ensure the safety requirement are meeting NOV & PFT standards.
* Work with Manufacturing leader to guide and empower employees to identify improvements.
* Standardize Operations and Production program(s) across the site.
* Introduce lean principles and continuous improvement (CI) methods.
* Identify opportunities for improving procedures, practices, and processes to achieve optimum levels of efficiency.
* Create sustainable business process improvement that provides measurable positive financial impact.
* Support in CNC programming and machining cycle time improvements.
* Utilize problem solving abilities and root cause analyses, and consequently adjustment of procedures and processes to improve quality & cost.
* Create new Routings & review current processes or process inputs with a view to ensuring uniformity and standardization throughout the Manufacturing site.
* Assist in creating a standard NOV manufacturing policy, user guide and operations system.
* Create, present and rollout changes to processes across the Manufacturing site in a controlled manner applying project management methodologies.
* Work with the various cross functional teams to continuously improve and maintain manufacturing processes.
* Support engineering with design for manufacturing review activities.
* Monitor Asset utilization / OEE & determine facility needs.
* BOM & Router creation conduct time study of new & existing process.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science - Mechanical Engineering
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Minimum of ‎5-‎10 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering environment.
* Project management skills
* Continuous Improvement training
* Oil and gas industry Manufacturing Experience
* ERP systems - JDE / Oracle
* Manufacturing Engineering Degree or Equivalent Experience
* Applied Change implementation Experience
* History of Interacting with Cross-functional teams
