Production Engineering Technician, Dammam Factory

leadership. This role is graded ‎16-‎15, reporting to Engineering Manager, to be
based in Dammam.

Your responsibilities

• Execution - Executes the assigned work according to agreed work flows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines, including but not limited to: cabinet assembly, component mounting, wiring and testing.


• Quality - The job includes physical pre-testing activities for newly assembled products to assure the quality of the product or manufacturing processes. Ensures quality documentation are maintained as per ABB standards.


• Testing - Lead and Assists the team in performing all checks in the process for Internal & Factory Acceptance Testing (IAT/FAT).


• Troubleshooting - Proactively identifies potential equipment failures and suggests proactive corrective and systemic actions. Troubleshoots failures and makes recommendations and systems to avoid repeating the problem in the future.


• Materials and Supply - Handle material with care, follow check-in and check-out procedure of material from the warehouse.


• Project Site Support - Support projects at site as required for installation, commissioning & troubleshooting activities.


• Health, Safety and Integrity - Conducts shop floor operations & site support in compliance with health & safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance.


• Processes and Tools - Consistently applies functional processes considering links to other teams.

Your background

• Ideally, you'll hold a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or Computer Engineering.


• Saudi nationals (male and female) are preferred.


• Electrical Technician & System Hardware Technician:


• Excellent knowledge in electrical circuit design and trouble-shooting


• Excellent knowledge reading Electrical & Instrumentation drawings


• System Software Technician:


• Excellent knowledge of Windows operating system installation, Domain installation and GPO configuration, network design and management.


• Technical acumen for solution designing & troubleshooting support virtually.


• Excellent client-facing / handling and technical convincing skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills and time scheduling.


• Experience with customers like ARAMCO, SABIC, SWCC, SEC is a plus.
