Valves Assembler

We are currently looking for a Valve Assembler that will be responsible for
building and testing metal seated Ball Valves, Globe valves and Butterfly
Valves of Standard and Special Service construction for the Saudi Arabia
operations according to Valmet guidelines and practices.
Main Duties and Responsibilities are:
* Perform a variety of assembly operations on all styles and sizes of valves such as tagging, stamping nameplates and data plates, attach seals and spring covers. Install necessary trim on valves. Perform preparation and painting operations in accordance with QA and customer requirements.
* Make decisions with respect to the action of the valve. Detect any malfunction of valve and mark valve area of leakage.
* Work from specifications, drawings or sketches to perform hand or machine lapping of any valve.
* Use any equipment required to perform the duties of the function including operation of flow testing equipment. Follow all department operating instructions and procedures required to accomplish tasks.
* Daily interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Control and Sales regarding customer requirements and valve problems to insure on-time deliveries are met. With minimal supervision, must be able to determine production schedule and have knowledge of ERP to determine available stock on hand and breakdown to lowest part level. May be required to work unscheduled overtime to satisfy emergency or critical customer shipments.
* Assemble and erect precision assemblies and sub-assemblies having close tolerances and critical operating requirements where fitting, alignment and adjustment of components, units and completed assembly are critical.
* Work from detailed assembly drawings and specifications.
Required Competencies:
* Requires a high degree of skill and a broad knowledge of mechanical principles and assembly techniques.
* Inspect parts for proper machining finish and dimensions, check and test sub-assemblies and units.
* Do fitting, adjusting, calibrating and aligning to insure free action and movement of parts, tolerance fits and operating requirements.
* Air test valves before final test and assists in packing out completed valves.
* May be assigned to manually inspect, clean and deburr both interior and exterior of valve bodies and covers by utilizing hand tools to remove particles from inside the valve body.
* May be assigned to prepare and apply paint according to prescribed methods.
* Each employee must follow all safety rules, report all accidents or unsafe conditions to supervision immediately and wear all required personal protective equipment. Each employee is responsible for the housekeeping of his/her work area and should maintain these areas to the highest degree possible.
* Attendance and punctuality are required.
* Performs other job related duties as assigned.
* Evaluates problems and keeps Supervisor and QA Inspector informed of defects.
* Wears all required PPE safety devices and equipment in the required manner.
