Blaster Coating

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Tend equipment that cleans dirt, scale, and other materials from metal objects with a blast of abrasive material such as steel shots, grit, sand blasting etc.
* Hook up, arrange, and prepare steel product to enter blasting chamber, and start machine.
* Place objects on racks/stands using OH cranes and other equipment and do manual blasting.
* Adjust controls on equipment to regulate pressure and amount of abrasive blast.
* Pour or shovel abrasive material into feed hopper to replenish supply.
* Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure machine operates efficiently
* Performs other duties as assigned
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* High School or Equivalent preferred.
* ‎5 Years of related experience Preferred
* Overhead crane operation experience will be added advantage.
* Experience working in a fabrication/manufacturing environment a plus
* Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
* Must be able to use shop tools and equipment
* Must be able to work with limited supervision
* Must be able to lift up to ‎50 pounds
* Must possess good communication skills
Qualification, knowledge and experience:
* Minimum ‎5 years' experience of painting in fabrication industry, preferably in Oil and Gas projects.
* Good working knowledge about blasting & painting equipment and types of painting processes.
