JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government 's nominated Prime Contractor under the
Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment,
support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Naval
Forces ships and train RSNF personnel safely in a training environment in how
to use their ships and equipment.
The post holder will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of English
language training of students at King Fahad Naval Academy (KFNA) which
includes classroom delivery, placement and progress testing / marking,
materials selection, preparation and development, syllabus development,
implementation of courses and record keeping.
The post holder will co-ordinate with his SELT concerning all aspects of
course administration and implementation.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
The post holder is responsible for:
* selecting and developing appropriate course material to match students ' abilities and requirements,
* independently delivering training courses and carrying out the associated administration,
* providing continuous assessment of students' learning progress,
* documenting work as necessary - attendance / progress reports / lesson plans / schemes of work /assessment plans,
* preparing students for appropriate external English Language qualifications i.e. City & Guilds,
* developing learning materials to improve the required skills, and knowledge of grammar and vocabulary,
* ensuring that all reports are completed and submitted to the SELT
The post holder will be expected to operate to a standard of absolute
integrity and professionalism.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
The post holder must:
Essential
* be degree qualified (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject (preferably English or modern languages),
* have an CELTA or equivalent, DELTA preferred,
* experience in a company or language school, Middle East experience preferred,
* have proven capability in delivering English language training,
* be a good team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills,
* be fluent in English (minimum IELTS ‎6.5 for a Saudi post holder, achieved within the last ‎2 years),
* have experience of delivering IELTS preparation courses / as an IELTS Examiner,
Desirable
The post holder should:
* have knowledge and experience of different EL methodologies and associated techniques,
* have experience in delivering Technical English training in a technical training institution,
* have knowledge and experience of developing materials,
* have experience and knowledge of CALL Lab activities and software,
* have experience of using interactive media for teaching,
* have experience of delivering training to a military customer, or a customer in a regulated environment.
* Have experience of working with external awarding bodies such as City& Guilds or British Council
