Job Description:

Role Overview:
* Production is operated in a safe and efficient manner and all customers are supplied within the agreed delivery times.
* Production is working as the lowest cost producer with the highest quality output by utilizing the Greif Business System and by adhering to The Greif Way
* To assist in the maintenance of the plant for maximum effectiveness.
* Proactively lead and manage the team and individual performance
* Agreed production KPIs are achieved through an on-time, full approach.
Typical Accountabilities:
* Be a champion for the Health & Safety culture throughout all areas and activities
* Ensure delivery of all agreed operating plans to achieve financial results, satisfying internal and external customers.
* Cultivate a continuous improvement atmosphere through team building and employee empowerment.
* Become an advocate for and embed the Greif Production System
* Master and implement lean manufacturing techniques and processes. Continuously improve the performance, increasing productivity, reducing costs, identifying, and eliminating all forms of waste
* Maximize equipment efficiency for output and minimize waste - OEE.
* Ensuring right-first-time quality, actively looking for prevention rather than cure. Reducing scrap and completing root cause analysis to ensure repeat failures are removed
* Confirm production progress, respond to delays, and take corrective actions
* Record KPI performance, report out, analyse, and implement corrective actions, and carry out performance management reviews as defined by the Greif Production System
* Proactively communicate Greif Production System goals and expectations and each person's role in achieving our objectives
* Monitor maintenance activities: Check status against agreed-upon plans - Prioritise based online performance
* Implement Maintenance Management System (MMS) and TPM to world-class standards
* Control, operate and maintain remanufacturing equipment to a high standard of performance.
* Implement Quality Management System ISO.
* Create knowledge and ownership of equipment by employees: Implement work order process - Solicit input from team members
* Work closely with the maintenance department to maintain machinery and housekeeping levels to a high standard of cleanliness and operational reliability, ensuring that all autonomous maintenance tasks are identified and executed
* Investigating all customer complaints, ensuring that the root cause is identified, and actions are tracked and completed to stop any re-occurrence
* Monitoring and managing the costs and remaining within budget constraints.
* Assist the plant to perform more efficiently and therefore competitively. Promote environmental improvements
* Establish a culture of pro-activity for HS&E awareness, where world class 5S standards are implemented / sustained and company procedures are adhered to
Requirements:
* Technical institute, technical diploma, or bachelor's degree
* Experience of managing a team in a manufacturing environment
* Excellent organisational skills
* understanding of Total Preventative Maintenance techniques, including FMEA and condition monitoring.
* Understanding of business needs and personal impact upon it
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and own initiative
* Ability to lead and motivate fellow employees
* Personal attributes which include tenacity, resilience, a positive disposition, a "can-do" attitude, assertiveness, and a high degree of determination to succeed.
