Risk Ops- Screening Utility is responsible for delivering a best in class
Screening solution. This entails management of the Group Transaction Sanctions
screening system (based around the FircoSoft product), delivery of sanctions
screening hit and alert management, testing and certification, Sanctions
Client Experience and Change Management in adherence with Group policy.
The Risk Ops- Screening Utility- Client Experience Function aims to enhance
HSBC's Sanctions Proposition by improving the end to end experience for both
internal and external stakeholders through streamlining our internal
processes, reducing complexity, education and training, fully leveraging our
technology and Sanctions expertise.
The role holder will be responsible for the management and delivery of the
Client Experience function in the ASP region, reporting to the Global Head of
Risk Ops Screening Utility- Client Experience
In this role, you will:
* Working with key internal and external stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities in the current transaction screening process.
* Implementing client specific tuning solutions to improve sanction hit rates, reduce sanctions investigations and improve client engagement.
* Developing a strong understanding of all tactical and strategic projects within the Risk Ops- Screening Utility domain to create awareness for internal and external stakeholders.
* Identification, prioritization, execution and delivery of improvement initiatives.
The role holder will operate within a demanding, dynamic environment, often
managing multiple projects to tight time-frames, therefore it is key that the
jobholder can work effectively and independently to deliver the high level of
quality and accuracy required for this arena.
The incumbent must have proven Project Management and business analysis skills
and must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
* The Risk Ops Screening Utility Client Experience (CE) MENAT Stream Lead is responsible for delivering projects that enhance client experience in relation to sanctions screening for stakeholders in the region.
* The role of the Risk Ops Screening Utility CE Stream Lead is to plan, mobilise and direct projects of high complexity from definition to closure. The role holder is responsible for proactively managing all elements of delivery including; scope, timelines, risks, execution, outcomes and benefits.
* The MENAT stream lead will work closely with the Risk Ops Screening Utility Global CE Programme Manager along with counterparts for other regions to ensure continued alignment of deliverables to overall team objectives.
* Maintain awareness of business strategies and implement alternative strategies to gain competitive edge
* Monitor performance against plan and take corrective action as required
* Recommend and manage implementation of process improvements while maintaining or increasing customer satisfaction and reducing risk.
* Structure - Adhere to the appropriate global and regional management structures and processes to effectively fulfil job responsibilities
* Control - Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars) and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behaviour
* Maintain current knowledge of dynamic regulatory environment
* Review processes for effectiveness, ensuring quality service provision while reducing risk
* Ensure Global Standards are designed and applied in collaboration with all members of the CE and extended Global Risk Ops Screening Utility. Procedures must be standardized and adhered to consistently globally.
* Ensure all delivery initiatives are compliant with Risk Ops governance and policy.
* Support the delivery of major change programmes to tight budgets and aggressive timelines with adherence to standards and active management of risk.
* Act as the point of contact for Global Risk Ops Screening Utility for MENAT
* The Sanctions Screening team activities and those of the job holder have a direct impact on the revenue streams of the Bank and of its compliance with regulation.
* The Sanctions Screening programme focuses on strictly applying Global Standards to Payment Services policy and controls to align Global Risk Ops Screening Utility to external and internal regulations across the whole group regardless of business line.
* The current platform screens over 1million messages per day and this is expected to grow significantly as Group Standards are expected to require a wider scope.
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Experience & Qualifications
* Graduate Degree is a must to obtain UAE visa
* Proven and progressive payment operations experience or equivalent
* Bachelor's degree in business, related field or equivalent experience
* Strong managerial, communications, planning, organizational, decision-making, negotiations and customer service skills
* Strong knowledge of products, services, policies and regulations impacting unit of responsibility
* Proven ability to respond to changing circumstances
* Ability to challenge the status quo and suggest viable alternative approaches
* Experience of working with offsite teams
* Proven track of working closely with key business users
* Willing and able to complete some travel periodically
* Sanctions and Payments knowledge
