MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To prepare and review various general ledger schedules, taking necessary
journal entries and analysing various accounts to ensure the trial balance is
accurate and complete as well as assist in the finalisation of monthly
accounts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Processes general ledger entries relating to accruals and specific revenue streams.
* Prepares and reviews various schedules on a monthly basis.
* Ensures that capitalisation of assets in a timely and accurate manner.
* Ensures that the relevant IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) are followed.
* Keeps abreast of the latest amendments and provides guidance on any relevant changes as required.
* Conducts independent reviews of general ledger accounts and raises any issues identified on unreconciled balances for resolution.
* Reviews journal entries to be passed to rectify issues identified in reconciliation.
* Oversees the general ledger reconciliations performed by other team members to be in line with the accounting principles.
* Applies a clear understanding of the process flows and accounting controls to ensure that the balances reflected in general ledger do not have any exception items.
* Reviews nominal costs and ensures the trends are explainable for the monthly results.
* Provides analysis and explanations for increases and decreases in reported costs and revenue.
* Tracks costs incurred in various running projects and compares against the budget.
* Reports the details to the various project managers and holds regular meetings to take necessary corrective actions.


Qualifications


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Minimum Education Level Required
* Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
Experience Specific Requirements
* Professional degree in accountancy or equivalent qualification eg. CA, ACCA etc.
* Preferred No. of Years (with Relevant Degree)-‎2

ISR Requirements
Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports
any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information
Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows
associated guidelines in the day to day business operations.
