Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Daily track and release equipment for all depots, terminals in the area to ensure accurate inventory records
* Liaise with internal teams to plan timely movement and availability of equipment at requested locations
* Ensure effective tracking of the company's owned and leased containers and report to the management on any outstanding issues
* Adhere to Milaha policies and procedures when handling Milaha Line equipment control functions
* Follow up on lease dates for leased Milaha Line containers and spaces ensuring its effective utilization
* Prepare reports and analyses on leasing forecasts and identify, develop and implement key measurements to improve lease process performance and opportunity
* Ensure and follow up that Milaha Line equipment and machinery are transferred in the proper amount and to the correct location as per contractual agreement
* Conduct and maintain monthly checks to make sure that Milaha Line inventory remains at acceptable levels that best serves the department objectives
* Check and follow up on Milaha Line inventory list and maintain adequate inventory levels in key geographical locations identified by Milaha Line management. Record and report on any damages that occur
* Ensure and monitor proper and systematic handling of all inventories wherever they are located while adhering to corporate policies and procedures
* Follow up and maintain inventories of Milaha Line materials or supplies necessary to meet customers' demands
* Assists customers and vendors with operational and claims issues
* Reposition containers that are sold or for sale or for off hire to leasing company
* Track and trace overdue equipment to ensure faster turn-around and decrease of turn-around time
* Control cost for repositioning equipment and evaluate vendor performance
* Maintain a record of Milaha Line data with regards to equipment control and container capacity management activities
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualification:
Diploma in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
Professional Experience:
3 - 5 years of experience in similar position in a well reputed logistics or
shipping organization
Geographic Experience:
Not required
Computer Skills:
Good knowledge of Office and web applications
Language Skills:
Business fluent English (verbal and writing)
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:
Good knowledge of container logistics and supply chain management best
practices.
