HSBC Global Banking and Markets is an emerging markets-led, financing-focused
business that provides investment and financial solutions. Through our
international network, we connect emerging and mature markets, covering key
growth areas. We partner with our corporate, government and institutional
clients to help them achieve consistent, long-term performance. Our products
and services include advisory, financing, prime services, research and
analysis, securities services, trading and sales and transaction banking.
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Global Banking
team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve
divisional business targets. In this role, you will:
* Support senior bankers in origination of investment banking mandates across products like: M&A, Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Leveraged Acquisition Finance (LAF) etc.
* Support senior bankers in preparing pitch books (including industry overview, valuation and company positioning in front of investors) and responses to RFPs
* Be expected to lead key work streams including financial modelling, valuation, process management on executions
* Share information, knowledge and ideas to enhance client dialogue and team performance
* Establish and maintain networks for co-operation with other HSBC businesses, to support the creation of solutions to client needs that span geographical/product boundaries and regulatory environments
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
* Core banking skills: analytical skills; investment banking product knowledge (M&A, ECM, LAF etc.)
* Technical skills: Ability to lead on technical work streams such as financial models, valuation analysis (including cash flow based methodologies such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) etc.
* Transaction experience: Knowledge and experience of having managed end to end M&A transaction lifecycle
* Communication skills: exhibit professional and personal presence; actively participate in internal and external discussions; present well-developed and delivered narratives to colleagues and clients; demonstrate mastery of verbal / written / listening / non-verbal (body language) communication skills
* Initiative and judgment: act proactively; demonstrate common sense; work well as part of a team; constantly seek to further develop existing skills and accumulate new skills.
* Ability to work in a team
* Graduation degree is a must - to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
