WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Senior Consultants and Managers in the Security Practice of Protiviti
Government Services (a wholly owned subsidiary of Protiviti, Inc.) help
government and government contractor clients deal with one of their most
critical risks: cyber security. As members of a project team, these
individuals conduct cybersecurity assessments of a client's information
security environment (platforms, applications, infrastructure, etc.), produce
high impact gap analyses, and assist clients in developing and executing
meaningful remediation plans to help them comply with current and emerging
security standards.
On-the-job and formal training provide ongoing opportunities for Senior
Consultants and Managers to stay current on relevant requirements and market
practice and to deepen their technical and professional competency. As team
members progress in their careers, they will also be expected to take on
greater responsibility in project planning and execution, from
staffing/coaching of more junior team members and preparation of deliverables
to application of methodologies,
EXPERIENCE WE ARE SEEKING:
General Knowledge & Skills:
NIST SP ‎800-‎53 security controls subject matter expert
Working knowledge of information security control frameworks including NIST
‎800- series (beyond ‎800-‎53),ISO, CIS Top ‎20, COBIT, etc.
Hands-on experience with technologies and tools deployed in implementing
security controls within anenterprise: o Log aggregation and SIEM tools such
as LogRhythm, Splunk, netForensics o Host-based Intrusion Detection System
(IDS) such as Symantec Critical System Protection o Network-based solutions
including VPN, IPSec, DNS, DNSSEC
Knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Experience assessing security controls of commercial organizations against
DFARS/NIST SP ‎800-171framework and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model
Certification (CMMC)
Experience developing recommendations and action plans to reduce, mitigate,
and/or remediate the impactof identified vulnerabilities.
Proven ability to conduct security impact assessments and communicate policy,
physical and operational impactsto information system changes
Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Excellent client relationship skills
Must be able to handle highly confidential information in a strictly
professional manner
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a technical discipline
Bonus: Experience as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) within the
U.S. Federal Government Position Requirements:
A CISSP, CAP, CISM, CISA or CMMC-RP/Professional/Certified Assessor Level ‎1 or
‎2 credential
US Citizen
Bonus: Active DoD
Experience Determination:
Manager: ‎3-‎5 years' experience in conducting FISMA or FedRAMP assessments;
ISSO experience
Senior Consultant: at least ‎3 years' experience in conducting DFARS/CUI, CMMC,
FISMA or FedRAMP assessments
