is situated in the modern, vibrant, and cosmopolitan city of Kuwait. Our five-
star resort is set on ‎1,750 meters of Al Mangaf coastline, curving alongside

Engineering
is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the physical plant and all of
its features, including:
* Day-to-day system operation and maintenance routines
* Preventive maintenance
* Minor and major repairs and improvements
* Support for other operating departments and guest activities
Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:
* Assist Chief Engineer in installation and maintenance of the architectural, mechanical and electrical systems and take over CE responsibility when he/she is absent
* Perform routine maintenance to determine damages, repairs and replacements.
* Completion of all routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, outlets, back of the house spaces and grounds.
* Assigns and verifies completion of all repairs, replacement, and renovation projects to offices and employee work areas.
* Support in developing preventive maintenance and energy conservation programs.
* Plan, coordinate and execute renovation projects.
* Assist in employee recruiting, training, performance evaluation, termination and promotion activities.
* Ensure that building structures and all mechanical and electrical systems are in good and safe conditions.
* Ensure that engineering team uses equipment safely and efficiently to avoid accidents.
* Mange all expenses within the allotted budget.
* Communicate overall condition of engineering systems to Chief Engineer on regular basis.
* Assist engineering staff to process customer requests promptly and accurately
* Recommend cost-effective solutions to maintain building structures and related systems.
* Ensure that work area is maintained clean, safe and organized.
* Educate team on safety regulations, engineering policies and purchasing procedures and other company standards.
* Oversee recycling and waste disposal programs.
* Prioritize, plan and assign daily work duties to engineering staffs.
* Adheres to all required purchasing policies and controls, to include all outside contractor bids, budgets and schedules.
* Order and stock the maintenance supplies to avoid any shortages.
* Immediately available to report to the hotel in the event of any hotel emergency which necessitates the skills and expertise of the Chief Engineer. By example such emergencies may include, but not be limited to fires, power or other equipment failures, floods, lighting, earthquake, or other disasters of similar nature and magnitude.
* Ability to positively communicate and instruct employees, offering assistance in areas where they lack knowledge, skills or experience. Able to rephrase, or "translate" fairly technical information into terms in which alay person may easily understand.
* Comply with quality assurance expectations

* Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is an advantage.
* Three years experience performing building maintenance in a hotel or related industry.
* One year experience as a head or assistant chief engineer in same or similar environment.
* Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering
* Positive attitude
* Good communication skills
* Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
* Excellent grooming standards
* Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
* Ability to work under pressure
* Ability to work on their own
