Assistant Restaurant Manager

We have a great opportunity for Assistant Restaurant to join our vibrant Afya
Restaurant. The successful applicant will play an important role in assisting
the Operations Manager in delivering consistent and quality service to our
guests. S/he will look and inspire colleagues every day to ensure that the
quality of service for which Shangri-La is known and loved is upheld.
What we are looking for?
Passionate about their restaurant.
Previous experience in a upscale restaurant or hotel
Trained in International Food & Beverages
Understands the need for efficiency and organisation.
Experience in managing busy breakfast operations
Communicates effectively with colleagues/management.
Creative and think out of the box in buffet concepts
Enjoys planning, organizing and problem solving
What will you do?
Support the Restaurant Service and culinary team in daily operations
Maximize upsell and meet outlet profitability
Remain aware of quality & standards within the premises and ensure the highest
possible care is taken to provide high quality fare in all outlets.
Achieve outlet performance matrix and ensure quality of service is excellent
at all times
Resolve guests complaints and provide memorable experiences
Foster a culture of dynamic & innovative work whilst remaining true to the
Shangri-La Values.

The hotel comprises 301 well-appointed guestrooms and suites. Rooms start at a
spacious 32 square metres and feature a stylish design of warm tones and
comfortable furnishings. For travelers requiring the highest levels of service
and attention, the hotel also offers 80 Traders Club rooms on the seventh,
eighth and ninth floor, as well as suites on the first to seventh floor. With
a blend of contemporary style and comfortable furnishings, Traders Hotel,
