Airside Safety Officer

Synopsis
Reporting to Network Safety Manager (Hub) this role provides extensive
oversight of AUH Hub operations safety and compliance.
Additionally, this role will deliver support to the Ground Safety team in
administrational functions across the Network, including Intelex case
management, investigations, risk management and safety promotional activities.
Accountabilities
* Monitoring workplace activities to ensure workers comply with Etihad Airways and ADAC policies, safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Conducting audits and inspections in accordance with Etihad Airways Ground and Cargo Operations procedures and liaising with the Ground and Cargo Handling Duty Managers on non-compliances identified.
* Managing Ground Safety Reports in Intelex, covering all aspects of case management, conducting safety investigations following serious incidents and proposing safety recommendations to prevent recurrence.
* Undertaking Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments.
* Conducting safety data analysis and providing associated contributions to the Ground Safety Action Group
* Supporting the Ground Safety team in creating and delivering periodic safety campaigns.
* Support the Ground Safety team with project management of ad-hoc business initiatives
Education & Experience
* At least ‎3 years of airline experience, or ‎2 years in ETIHAD within the field/scopes of Ground and/or Cargo operations.
* Experience in safety and quality; ability to demonstrate sound understanding of SMS principles.
