Job Responsibilities:
* Maintains good housekeeping practices in all storage areas of the warehouse and outside storage areas.
* Unloads materials from various freight trucks using mobile material handling equipment and proper material storage devices, such as racks, pallets, baskets or carts, for proper protection of materials and to facilitate handling and storage of items.
* Restocks materials to storage bins or issue points from reserve storage areas.
* Long term preservation and storage of major capital spares.
* Maintains good housekeeping of equipment, receiving areas, and storage areas.
* Maintain Filing of Requisition forms, ensuring that they are properly filled up and acknowledged by the requesting party.
* Enter data into a database or other computerised system to maintain up-to-date stock records.
* These activities may include answering telephones.
Job Requirements:
* A high school qualification or equivalent.
* Must be organized and punctual.
* Well-presented and professional.
* Prior experience in retail, preferably in a management position, would be advantageous.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
