Job Requirement:
We are looking for a "Waiter" for our multiple venues -
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Deliver food from kitchen to the guest ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Assist in clearing, cleaning and set-up for service in an unobtrusive manner; greet guests according to the St. Regis Standards to ensure superior service.
* Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
* Assist in the breakdown, cleaning and set-up of buffets and food stations.
* Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
* Greet and escort guests to their tables
* Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
* Adhere to timing standards for products and services
* Inform guests about the day's specials
* Offer menu recommendations upon request.
* Make suggestions based on their preferences.
* Up-sell additional products when appropriate
* Take accurate food and drinks orders, using MICROS software
* Check customers' IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
* Communicate order details to the kitchen
* Serve food and drink orders. Ensure hot food is hot and cold food is cold
* Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
Education and Experience
* A Bachelor / Diploma holder in Hotel Management is preferred.
* Prior work experience preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
* Must have computer skills and working knowledge in Micros.
* Must be proficient in writing, speaking and negotiating in English.
