Your role
You will contribute to all Supply Chain activities, focus on production
planning and business intelligence as well as storage management.
Responsibilities as Production Planner:
* Implement MRP for supply chain activities including building structure.
* Create Manufacturing Shop Orders using MRP. Review and update all open shop orders as needed.
* Create Material Requisitions for Purchasing, including quantities and required dates.
* Manage that material is available in time for production.
* Storage management.
* Support manufacturing by creating production schedules.
* Collaborate with Supply chain and Engineering to coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
* Collaborate with cross functional groups including Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales and Engineering.
* Support with Outbound Logistics planning and liaise with Freight forwarders.
* Be a subject matter expert of the production/material process flow and be a partner to the Manufacturing team.
Responsibilities as Business Intelligence:
* Actively participate as a member of a cross functional team partnering with operations and IT.
* Translate operational business needs into analytics requirements and provide a structured approach to analysis.
* Provides analysis, related to business operations, productivity, performance, planning, work methods and procedures.
* Work with manufacturing and support teams to establish and improve processes.
* Keep design and building structure up to date according to pricing.
* Represent production in the sales and operational planning process.
Experience & Skills
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in Supply
Chain Planning, Master Scheduling, Inventory, and/or Operations Planning as
well as Business Intelligence.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Strong understanding of MRP and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards related to End to End Supply Chain concepts.
* Experience in scheduling manufacturing and production control techniques.
* Prefer experience with ERP systems and planning software.
* Previous experience with logistics and shipping inside and outside the UAE
* Strong communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Sound leadership qualities and demonstrated good judgment.
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office experience required.
* Understanding in ISO-9001, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is highly desirable.
* Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and with other departments.
* You must be able to express yourself in English, both oral and in written word.
* Driver's license
This position requires that you undergo a security screening in accordance
with the Saab internal processes.
