Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CAD Draughtsman to join our
team! In this role you will get to perform on developing difficult and
complex working drawings from equipment specifications, engineering notes,
sketches, and/or detailed drawings, ensuring that they meet company and
industry standards and codes.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
* Works closely with other Designer/Drafters and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design.
* Applies standard design principles and theories to complete assignments.
* Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
* Becomes familiar with various standards and codes such as ANSI, PFI, and ASME.
* Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
* Makes required changes, additions, and/or revisions, as directed by immediate supervisor.
* May assist in training lower level Designer/Drafters in various procedures.
* Checks drawings prepared by lower level Designer/Drafters for accuracy and adequacy.
* Understands how to read orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
* Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
* Bachelor's Degree or 3 Years Diploma in Engineering from an accredited institution.
* Minimum 8+ years demonstrable drafting experience on infrastructure (roads and utilities) projects.
* Must have experience and should be knowledgeable on the use of computer aided drafting software, such as AutoCAD, GIS and Photoshop.
* Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with good capability in oral and written communication skills;
* Computer skills and the ability to utilize design software are mandatory.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
* Experience of working on UAE Infrastructure Project is preferred.
* Civil 3D software experience will be added advantage.
* Professional attitude with good personality and client management skills.
* Experience working with an Engineering consultancy in UAE is preferred.
