DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
Finance function is responsible for managing the organization's financial
resources globally, including budgeting, accounting, taxation, treasury,
compliance and risk. The goal of the department is to optimize financial
performance and ensure financial stability while maximizing profits.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Finance Manager will be in charge of accounts receivable and payable,
including the preparation of journal entries, the reconciliation of general
and accounts, the general ledger, and the monitoring of bank transactions and
balances. He/She will also be responsible for analyzing financial data and
creating reports, presentations, financial projections and budgets for
management, stakeholders, and external parties.
KEY RESPONSBILITES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Manage daily financial transaction activities (sales, purchases, receipts, and payments) and ensure that all major company, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
* Track and assess the company's cash flow and financial planning as well as analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions.
* Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and, as needed, participating in audits or reconciliations.
* Assisting other departments in developing strategies, setting goals, and making decisions that may have a financial impact on the business.
* Check and record the accuracy of monthly payroll amounts received from HR.
* Create and manage the company inventory report.
* Create and manage adequate regular, annual, and multi-year budgets for the company's needs, including the preparation of periodic budget forecasts.
* Creates a budget vs. actual comparison report and oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
* Ensuring compliance with all statutory accounting; external & internal audit and tax compliance.
* Assist in accounting system transformation.
* Represent company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, public auditors, and officials.
* Identify, acquire, and implement systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information.
* Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations to increasing budget efficiency.
* Participate in group budgeting exercises and assist with reporting on budget vs. actual performance.
* Conduct ad-hoc analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency and cost reduction.
* Analyze operational and financial data to support the SVP-Finance in identifying potential opportunities and risk.
* Ensure that the assets and liabilities of the entity are adequately protected against risk and report any deficiencies to the SVP - Finance.
* Any other tasks assigned by the SVP Finance.

* Ensure that the department's procedures are consistently documented and relevant evidence is retained.
* Adhere to the documented procedures of the organization or department and retain documented evidence related to the performance of their role.

JOB REQUIRMENTS:
QUALIFICATION / EDUCATION
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance. In addition, the candidate must also possess a Chartered Accountancy certificate.
EXPERIENCE
* 10+ years of experience in Accounting and Financial reporting, preferably in the Aviation industry.
