Charterhouse is working with an established independent premium cafe and all-
day dining concept who are looking to hire an Area Operation's Manager to
oversee their portfolio of locations in Abu Dhabi and ultimately across the
UAE. Guests will find the venues welcoming and warm, a great place for a meal
with friends or family, or to spend the afternoon in the company of high-
quality coffee and bites.
About the role
The Operations Manager will be responsible for a growing number of locations
as well as kiosks, also supporting the Group Executive Chef who oversees all
things culinary. You will work closely with the senior management team to
achieve the highest level of success across all the locations. Additionally,
you will oversee all day-to-day operations, liaise with suppliers, support on
promotions and events, p&l, budgeting, forecasting, the overall development
and growth of the brand. Furthermore, you will be responsible for both
compiling and analysing reports in support of the growth of the brand.
About you
To be considered for this role, the candidate should be an experienced Area
Manager or Operations Manager, having managed a portfolio of multiple
locations. Experience in overall operations and the business side of things is
essential for this role including liaising with suppliers, hiring, p&l, cost
control, budgeting and forecasting, extensive reports and analysis. Candidates
with experience in either home grown or franchise brands are preferred.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can successfully balance the
customer service side and the business side of things while also working to
develop and grow the business, someone who supports and empowers the team to
excel. Multi-site experience is essential for this role and QSR will not be
considered. Our client has a preference for Middle East experience, fluency in
Arabic is advantageous, however not essential. Strong leadership and English
communication skills are essential for this role, for managing a diverse team.
