Role and Responsibilities
For our team in Abu Dhabi we are looking for a Junior Finance Analyst;
In this role, you will be responsible to:
* Act as a business partner to the Finance Manager of Middle East subregion and to the wider Middle East and international team. Some activities will require travel abroad. The role requires preparation and consolidation of accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reports including forecast and budget and cooperation with head office.
* Participate in the month-end close process in Oracle R12, HFM
* Participate in providing accounting analysis support to the business units on various accounting issues
* Prepare monthly P &L, balance sheet and cash flow variance analysis;
* Interact with the different groups (Tax, Treasury, internal audit, corporate) to respond to ad hoc inquiries
* Consult on new or changing business transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment consistent with the global business
* Ensure all standard processes and policy are applied and all transactions are correctly recorded
* Participate in special projects in collaboration with other teams
* Participate in the financial forecasting and financial performance analysis for ME subregion
* Participate in the establishment of the annual budget
* Maintain and develop financial models and identify, document and communicate risks and business opportunities related to forecasts
* Be responsible for the preparation of various financial reports and presentations for senior management.
* Maintain financial forecasts, reports and KPI tracking
* Any other tasks or duties as agreed with Finance Manager
Qualifications
* The ideal candidate will hold a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA or CIMA or similar certification) and have preferably 1 to 3 years' experience in a financial analyst role.
* The candidate will need to be 'hands-on' and show a proven ability in the following fields:
* Strong knowledge and experience in management and finance skills.
* Ability to implement "Best Practice" in an expanding business.
* Ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise.
* Ability to understand complex accounting and financial issues and provide recommendations on accounting treatment to corporate and local management.
* Knowledge of Middle East culture and specifics will be a plus.
* Proficient Microsoft skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, Project).
* Detail Oriented.
* Ability to work independently.
* Able to work in team environment.
* Fluency in English
