Duties



  • Performs a variety of administrative or technical duties/responsibilities in support of Commander and staff with the intent of accomplishing the administrative requirements of the installation.

  • Assists with keeping Commander and staff informed of new or revised administrative policies/procedures that affect administrative or internal controls; calendar upkeep; timekeeping or personnel accountability.

  • Assists Commander and staff with coordinating/planning official routine and non-routine, visits, tours, inspections, or special events.

  • Supports Commander and staff in executing the requirements of the records management, public affairs, travel, purchase card, or history programs.

  • Coordinates with headquarters, the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center and Supervisors to process/track civilian personnel actions, appraisals, awards, Table of Distribution Allowances, or strength/manning reports.

  • Plans/coordinates various elements of the installation mandatory, professional development, or acquisition training programs; performs, provides, obtains or advises on a variety of administrative services and programs.

  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. This position requires you to possess/obtain and maintain a valid Official U.S. Passport and driver's license.

  • Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction ‎1315.19.

  • Must be able to successfully complete a CENTCOM MOD-‎16 compliant deployment physical exam. Successfully complete a dental examination with favorable results.

  • Immunization screening is required. Shot records are required to be carried at all times while deployed.

  • This is an Emergency Essential position.

  • Permanent to Permanent Movements: Statutory return rights are granted for permanent, competitive service employees within the Department of Defense. For all other Federal agencies, administrative return rights may be granted.

  • All Other Movements: Statutory return rights are not authorized. Administrative return rights may be granted.

  • This position requires you to travel within and potentially outside of country.

  • You may be required to process through the CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) prior to deployment. The CRC is the final authority for declaring an individual deployable. If you are found non-deployable this offer may be withdrawn.

  • Emergency Essential designated requiring you to perform the duties and requirements of the position in the event of crisis until relieved by proper authority along with being immunized with the complete Anthrax vaccination series and annual boosters.

  • Note: Key and Essential are not to be filled by persons with military recall status (one who is in status of a Ready Reserve, Standby Reserve or is military retiree subject to recall active duty).

  • This position is subject to a mobility or rotation agreement.

  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience
requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience,
including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace
Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic;
religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for
all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must

GS-‎09 level: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must
describe at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade
(GS-‎07) which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience
is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the
position to be filled such as: Performing a variety of administrative or
technical duties in support of higher headquarters, Commander or staff,
including researching and advising on administrative programs or policies,
assisting with the management of organizational calendars; timekeeping or
overseeing personnel accountability; or providing routine and non-routine
visit and event support.OREducation Requirements: Master's degree or
equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level
graduate education leading to such a degree in Homeland Security, Emergency
Management or Criminal Justice or a field related to the position of a LL.B.
or J.D., if in a related field. (Note: You must attach a copy of your
transcripts.)ORSome specialized experience as described above, but less than
one year; and I have some graduate level education as described, but less than
the required two years. Computed the percentage of the requirements to total
at least ‎100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of
