Electronics Tech Mx III - LCES Inspector
This position is responsible for a variety of electronic systems to include
but not limited to, CROWS, LRAS, CLU, ITAS, lasers, thermal sights, and night
vision devices. Line Replacement Units for track equipment, fire control
system and operation of Direct Support Electrical Systems Test Set (DSESTS).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Reports directly to the Maintenance Inspection Team (MIT) supervisor.
* Performs all phases of technical inspections to include; Initial inspection to determine nature and extent of repairs that may be required, In-progress inspections to verify maintenance actions at critical inspection points, and final inspections to ensure equipment has been repaired to fully-mission capable standard. Ensure inspections are performed IAW applicable Army Technical Publications.
* Identify and record equipment deficiencies/shortcomings utilizing the maintenance and inspection worksheet to include listing of required repair parts/materials and labor hours required to correct deficiencies.
* May be required to diagnose and troubleshoot electronic equipment and recommend repair solutions to commonly encountered equipment failures using diagnostic techniques and TMDE.
* Prepare inspection and test records associated with the technical inspection process and verify MWO\SOUM's have been properly applied and recorded.
* Conduct periodic observations of the maintenance process to ensure the proper use of tools, shop equipment, technical publications, and safety protocols IAW with company safety policy and technical manuals are being implementation.
* Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Education:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Secret clearance required
* U.S. Citizenship required
Experience:
* Must have 5 years maintenance experience on electronic equipment systems with a minimum of 2 years Quality Control inspection background, prior Army MOS 91G & 94A preferred.
* Military maintenance contracting experience preferred but not required.
* Civilian candidates with 5 years' electronic equipment repair and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) technical experience are encouraged to apply.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
* Thorough knowledge of U.S. Army technical publications required.
* Must be able to speak English and read/comprehend technical manuals printed in English.
* Must be able to test faulty equipment and apply comprehensive technical knowledge of functional operation of LRU's, electronic systems to diagnose cause(s) of malfunctions, apply repairs, and solve complex problems.
* Has basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Know shop status codes and work order functions. GCSS-Army/ AWRDS knowledge a plus.
* Has knowledge of basic shop safety procedures needed to work in an Armament environment, perform support functions for the shop, and ensures other are in the proper PPE.
Certification & License: Must be school trained or certified to operate and
maintain the CROWS system.
Work Environment, Physical Demands and Mental Demands:
* Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
* Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
* Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
