Unit Mail Postal Handler-Carrier
Perform a variety of duties which include operating the mailroom in accordance
with Department of Defense (DOD), US Army, US Postal Service (USPS) and
Military Postal Service Agency (MPSA).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Distribute mail to appropriate recipients or departments
* Maintain record of incoming mail
* Count and record inventory items
* Assist in filing and archiving documents.
* Perform data entry activities
* Maintain adequate mailroom supplies
* Replenish supply of post office forms
Experience:
* 6 months - 3 years of experience in military APO, Fleet Post Office (FPO), or USPS operations preferred.
* Similar experience in the customer service field preferred.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Must have high-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.
* Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook and other related applications.
* Must be able to anticipate internal client needs.
* Must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
* Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
Education:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification, License & Clearance:
* Secret Clearance is required.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen.
* Current valid driver's license.
