Role Summary:
The Construction Engineer will supervise the construction project to assure
good workmanship and contractors’ adherence to plans, specifications and
contract requirements. He will coordinate and supervise the work of inspection
units and provide engineering interpretations to resolve construction
disputes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the work of field units inspecting construction projects.
* Develop an inspection schedule for an efficient utilization of time
* Review daily, weekly and/or monthly reports governing inspectional activities; schedule meetings during the project to work out solutions to problems encountered and to interpret contract requirements.
* Make on-site inspections of all phases of the construction project while in progress to determine that specific phases of the work are performed in accordance with predetermined outlines.
* Interpret the plans and specifications for the contractor and determine whether the intent of the plans and specifications has been properly carried out.
* Resolve disputes with contractors and confer with immediate supervisor to determine the appropriateness of proposed changes.
* Investigate and resolve complaints.
* Prepare and supervise the preparation of drawings, engineering designs, specifications, quantity calculations, cost estimates, engineering computations and related engineering work in the office as well as the field.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
* Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
