We are currently looking for a Senior Program Manager with background
in Mining, Chemicals, Salt business to join our Worley team. The qualified
individual will have led project execution teams and have an excellent track
record in sectors such as mining, refining and chemicals, salt plants and
water treatment and in general, industrial manufacturing infrastructure
projects. Expectations of this role are to provide consistent, sustainable,
and effective management direction for all projects within a program as well
as ensure that client requirements and the needs of multiple stakeholders are
being identified and managed effectively.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to join a world class team
and work in one of the largest brine beneficiation projects globally, which is
being engineered to "supply greener" base products such as salt, gypsum,
magnesium chloride and further refined products including green PVC from CO2
capture, green glass, magnesium metal, magnesium oxide, bromine, and gypsum
wallboard among others.
This is a full-time role with the opportunity to work out of several Worley
offices globally depending on your location.
As our ideal candidate for this dynamic and challenging role, your
responsibilities will consist of the following tasks:
Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
* Assists business development activities. Supports proposals by developing execution strategy, scope, resource loading, estimating costs, writing proposal content, and presenting to customers. May be called upon to lead all or part of a proposal.
* Compliance with HSE procedures and maintain HSE focus for project duration
* Effective management of multiple stakeholders
* Maintain and build healthy client relationships throughout the project and post completion.
* Proactively resolve performance, scope, cost and schedule issues with the Client as they arise
* Effective management of Contract, including delivery of the budget gross margin.
* Effective change control process application
* Manage and monitor project performance on an ongoing basis to identify issues and opportunities early and take preventive actions. Provides accurate progress and performance status and forecasts.
* Effectively manages project interfaces, including use of global high-value delivery centres
* Develop resource & financial requirements from the project plan.
* Manage the design, procurement and construction activities to meet the project schedule
* Provide clear and focussed leadership for the project team to create a vision for project success and a strategy to fit that vision.
* Listen to the team, discuss the issues, resolve problems and direct activities to remove roadblocks and achieve objectives.
* Provide mentoring and participate in staff performance evaluations.
* Maintain the risk management focus throughout the project duration.
Qualifications
* Awarded a ‎4- or ‎5-year technical degree in science, engineering and/or construction disciplines.
* PMP certification a plus.
* A minimum of ‎20 years executing consultancy and engineering projects (stand alone or as part of a program/portfolio). Global / Middle East EPcM, EPC and/or BOO project execution with total project values greater than $‎75 million USD
* Minimum of ‎15 years experience as a Project Manager delivering large, multi-disciplined engineering projects for [fill in industry] production/manufacturing facility/complex projects (as engineering, owner, or EPC.)
* Working knowledge of industry standard business support systems i.e. project planning packages, cost management systems, ISO9001 quality management systems
* Assume hands-on management and implementation of all relevant company HSE requirements. Role-model a commitment to personal well-being and a pro-active approach to continuously improving health, safety and environmental performance.
* Understands current best practices, key technologies and technology suppliers, technology integration, facility constructability and operability, and contractors in this specific industry
* Understand industry benchmark projects and pricing
* Experience in risk management, quality, procurement, or construction execution. Adept in Data Centric Engineering.
* Member of industry-specific Professional and Technical Societies
* A high level of business acumen, business development and customer focus
* Strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills with a passion for building teams and growing business
* Strong ability to inform and persuade on complex matters through preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations and reports, as well as collaboration with stakeholders and management.
* Flexibility to travel and work effectively with team members in other offices remotely
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to plan, review, edit reports, other engineering and construction deliverables. Comfortable and effective presenting to senior executives
* Language skills in Arabic, Spanish, or French is a plus
