Essential Job Responsibilities:
* Control, monitor, and report on inventory valuation, standard cost, and production variances
* Ensure integrity of Work Order processing from material issues, labor postings, variances and finished goods.
* Prepare journal entries and reports for month-end closing
* Balance all inventory accounts to general ledger at month end
* Prepare key financial reports to key manufacturing and operations personnel
* Support the preparation of financial performance analysis reports and statutory financial reporting.
* Execution of Annual and Ad-Hoc Cost Rolls in compliance with segment policies
* Collaborate with others to resolve issues, test, and implement new practices
* Research and resolve account balance and transactional discrepancies; suggest solutions to prevent future issues
* Provide audit support as it relates to inventory and cost accounting
* Track and report inventory counting progress and accuracy
Qualification Requirements (Minimum Education and Experience) :
* Degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or related field preferred or commensurate experience.
* 3-5 years relevant work experience preferred.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented.
Technical Requirements ( software or program knowledge needed )
* Experience with JD Edwards One World is considered an asset.
