We are looking for a facility supervisor is responsible to supervise and
coordinate the day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and
associated equipment. The candidate will oversee staff that installs,
inspects, repairs, and maintains building systems, including mechanical,
electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. They will also
monitor the adequacy of inventories and handle the budget to purchase
materials and equipment for operations.
Responsibilities:
* Supervising the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment, including hiring contractors for major projects.
* Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.
* Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
* Monitoring equipment and machinery to ensure that they are in good working order.
* Maintaining a safe and clean environment by complying with state and federal regulations regarding environmental issues such as waste disposal and recycling.
* Tracking service requests, schedule preventative maintenance, and address emergencies.
* Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling employees, ordering supplies, and arranging for repairs.
* Communicating with staff members to ensure that they are aware of any issues regarding safety or security.
* Monitoring internal or external employees attendance and making sure that they are performing their jobs correctly.
* Coordinating work to be done by any contractor.
* Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
* Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
* Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs.
* Hiring and training new employees, maintaining personnel records, and resolving employee complaints.
Requirements:
* Diploma in mechanical engineering at least.
* Relevant work experience - not less than ‎3 years.
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills.
* Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
* Documentation and organization skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
