The Low Current Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing the installation,
commissioning, and maintenance of low current systems at project sites. This
role plays a critical part in ensuring the successful implementation of
various Extra low voltage systems, such as ICT, security systems, fire alarm
systems, CCTV, access control systems, and other communication systems. The
Low Current Site Engineer will collaborate with the project team,
subcontractors, and clients to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of low
current projects while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities: Installation and Commissioning: Supervise and coordinate the
installation and commissioning of low current systems according to the project
specifications and industry standards. Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality
of work during installation, testing, and commissioning phases, and take
necessary corrective actions to rectify any issues or deviations. Technical
Expertise: Provide technical expertise and support to the project team and
subcontractors, assisting in resolving technical challenges and ensuring
compliance with design requirements. Site Coordination: Collaborate with
project managers, site managers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless
coordination and integration of low current systems with other building
systems. Documentation: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and as-built
drawings related to low current systems for future reference and project
handover. Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related
to low current systems, taking proactive measures to prevent operational
downtime. Health and Safety: Comply with all health and safety regulations,
promoting a safe work environment for all personnel involved in low current
system installation and maintenance. Client Communication: Act as a point of
contact for clients during the project execution, providing regular updates on
project progress and addressing any client concerns related to low current
systems. Training and Handover: Conduct training sessions for end-users and
maintenance personnel on the operation and maintenance of low current systems
before project handover. Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of industry
advancements, best practices, and emerging technologies related to low current
systems. Qualification and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical
Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in
the installation (1st, 2nd & 3rd fix), commissioning, and maintenance of low
current systems, preferably in construction or engineering projects. Strong
technical knowledge of various low current systems, including security, fire
alarm, CCTV, access control, and communication systems. Familiarity with
relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards governing low current
systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
under pressure. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work
collaboratively with team members, clients, and subcontractors. Demonstrated
ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for project documentation and
reporting. A strong commitment to quality, safety, and professional ethics.
Willingness to travel to project sites and work in various locations as
