Travel Agency Accountant

We’re Hiring… Travel Agency Accountant Requirements: ‎3 years of Experience
Degree in Economics/Accountancy/Finance. Key Responsibilities: Financial
Management: Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable
and accounts receivable. Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and
timely recording of transactions. Monitor and manage cash flow to support
operational needs. Travel Industry Expertise: Stay up-to-date with travel
industry regulations, tax codes, and financial standards. Apply knowledge of
airline ticketing and booking processes to accurately account for commissions,
fees, and sales revenue. Work with travel industry-specific software for
accounting and reporting purposes. Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and
monitor budgets to ensure efficient financial planning. Provide financial
forecasts and recommendations to support business decisions. Financial
Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss
statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure accurate and
timely submission of financial reports to management and regulatory bodies.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all travel industry regulations, tax laws,
and financial standards. Coordinate with external auditors as necessary for
compliance audits. Expense Management: Control and optimize expenses to
maximize profitability. Review and approve travel-related expenses in
accordance with company policies. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the
finance team and other departments to provide financial insights and support
for decision-making. Assist in financial training and education of non-finance
staff regarding industry-specific financial processes. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of ‎3
years of accounting experience, with a preference for experience in the travel
industry. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and
organizational abilities. Knowledge of travel industry procedures, policies,
and regulations. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. How
