Project Planning Engineer Responsibilities:
- Prepare realistic project schedule using appropriate too such as Primavera
and MS project
- Prepare competitive bids for new projects
- Calculate Optimal Material requirement, Manpower Requirement for each stage
of the project
- Coordinate with the project manager and different departments to ensure
good execution of the plan
- Plan for the budget required for the project and monitor expenses as the
project is executed
- Create cash flow forecasts for each project
- Coordinate with the client to ensure efficient execution for the project
- Collect periodic updates and prepare daily, weekly and monthly updates of
the project
- Create variance reports (Schedule Variance and Cost Variance - usually
- Observing existing processes, analyzing staff performance, and addressing
deficiencies accordingly
- Attending and scheduling meetings as required
- Delegating tasks and ensuring workers receive feedback
- Understanding and meeting all contract requirements
- Communicating with managers, supervisors, and the rest of the team
- Analyzing technical drawings and providing material and cost estimates
- Ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budgets
