Job Scope, Roles & Responsibilities
* Lead R&D activities related to the implementation of Innovation, Renovation, Line Extension and/or Cost Optimizations projects under this position area of responsibility, in line with business, consumer needs and regulations
* Partner with Global & local R&D, Brand & SC teams to ensure flawless execution of all aspects of the projects
* Coordinate all technical workstreams to deliver projects, including process development, formulation, packaging, consumer insight & claims activities
* Partnering with marketing & sales teams to maximize the technology impact
of innovations through strong market execution
* Plan, coordinate & lead lab, trials & technical validations of his/her projects.
* Partner with quality/regulatory teams to manage quality/regulatory and supply incidents
* Ensure technical integrity of artwork details eg. claims, usage instructions, caution statements, ingredients in line with regulatory requirements
* Manage R&D costs for the projects (bought-in and capital)
* Proactive identification of technical risks and recommendations to mitigate risks
* Supporting Portfolio development.

Role requirements:
* Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering
* ‎3-‎5 years FMCG environment, product development & technical project management experience (preferably in cosmetic industry)
* Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams in the development of high impact innovative solutions.
* Excellent facilitation and problem-solving skills.
* Self-motivated and keen to help drive change in an organization.
* Volition and willingness to change
* Ability to convince and influence others.
* Strong internal/external network builder
* Solid verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders from various fields
* Fluent English
