Job Description


Department: Office of Admissions
Reports to: Director-Admissions
Scope and Purpose:
Under the leadership and direction of the Director of Admissions/Assistant
Director, this position will handle the development and maintenance of
reports, prospect marketing initiatives for the Office of Admissions, and is
responsible for providing general customer service ensuring University 's
admission targets are achieved.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Greets walk-ins, answers in-person, telephone, e-mail, and fax inquiries as needed and imparts admissions related information in a clear and accurate manner.
* Coordinates schedules and daily operations with the Director of Admissions.
* Responsible for development and maintenance of enrollment management reports that analyze various activities involved in the student recruitment process.
* Generates and prepares reports to support quality control functions
* Generate all admission letters and communication pieces through the communication flow in Banner.
* Develops relationships with prospective students and their parents.
* Manages prospective student data collection and entry into Banner and any related recruitment technologies.
* Manages applicant data collection and entry into Banner.
* Develops comprehensive communication techniques to maintain on-going and meaningful communication with prospects, including data mining through Banner query.
* Manages and maintains the daily meeting schedule of the Director of Admissions.
Additional Responsibilities:
Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of Admissions/Assistant
Director as follows:
* Responsibility for assisting in Admissions events.
* Development of all admissions recruitment materials.
* Responsibility for managing the Academic Scholarship.
* Manages all Office of Admissions responsibilities for the Placement, Advising and Registration (SAR) process.
* Assist in development of training initiatives for the Office of Admissions.
* Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Admissions/Assistant Director.


Qualifications



  • Bachelors degree required.

  • Excellent spoken and written English.

  • Excellent spoken and written Arabic.

  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office software required (Microsoft Excel).

  • Understanding of integrated information systems, accessing data through query and running quality control reports to ensure data integrity.

  • Should possess demonstrated proficiency with oral presentations and written communication.

  • Must have experience working effectively as a team member with and for multicultural/multilingual populations

  • The ability to present information interactively to a group and/or to facilitate interactions within a group.

  • Working in a methodical and logical manner to manage priorities, deadlines, and workload to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner.

  • Sorting and retrieving data.

  • Establishing, strengthening, and maintaining credibility, trust, and confidence with individuals and groups, both internal and external.

  • Adjusting one's own behavior to be effective within and among groups and with individuals.

  • The ability to deal with walk-in and telephone enquiries throughout the workday.

  • The ability to work some flexible hours, including occasional evening and weekend work.

  • The ability to travel to drive on behalf of AUK (valid driver's license and access to a vehicle required).

  • The ability to work well with students as well as prospective students, their parents, University faculty and administration.
