R ole Overview
Reporting locally to Chief Accounting Officer (Egypt), the role leads
Financial Accounting, Local Reporting & Financial Control for HSBC Egypt. The
ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and
interpreting large datasets to support various financial reporting activities.
The candidate should be able to create and maintain financial models, reports
and dashboards that accurately reflect the bank's financial performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Collect and analyze financial data from various sources to prepare financial reports and dashboards for management and regulatory reporting.
* Develop, maintain and improve financial models that support the bank's financial planning and forecasting activities.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify trends, insights and opportunities to improve the bank's financial performance.
* Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data used for reporting purposes
* Create and maintain data visualization tools and dashboards that provide actionable insights to the business.
* Identify data quality issues, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
* Participate in ad-hoc data analysis projects as required.
* Manage relationship with external Auditors.
Requirements
Qualifications
Essential experience, skills and qualifications required for this role:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
* At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in financial services industry
* Strong knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles and financial modeling techniques
* Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis and visualization using tools such as Power Pivot, Power Query, Python, SQL and Tableau
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
