JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of this job is to be an active member of Site SES team to deploy &
maintain all the Environment Programs and systems. The role provides advice
focusing on compliance and continuous improvement of site Environment &
Sustainability management systems and arrangements to achieve its goal. A
vital enabler to this role will be its interaction, integration and
relationships building with KEC site associates.
The role also incorporate the Technical Training which is an instrumental role
to improve associates performances by designing, delivering and measuring the
impact on the return of investment from technical training activities of shift
associates. He or she takes charge of the training plan by facilitating and
monitoring the implementation of various technical trainings effectively to
the targeted shift associates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Environment
* Facilitate and monitor the implementation and compliance of the environment management systems with statutory requirements, codes of practice and Mars global and regional requirements
* Coordinate and lead, working with each area owner, the identification process of the all operational activities to analyze environmental aspects and asses their impact. Then consolidate the data collected to create Site Environmental Register
* Monitor the environment and sustainability projects and initiatives in the site to achieve the global targets in reducing energy, water and waste.
* Ensure periodical collection, accuracy and reporting of environment and sustainability related data and KPIs on the site level as well as the regional level
* Promote environment and sustainability guidelines and raise awareness of associates ' by regular walkthroughs, interacting and providing feedback on the shop floor.
* Recommend appropriate environment training programs to develop awareness at all levels and provide specialist knowledge where appropriate
* Assist in the investigation of environmental incidents to establish the cause and recommend actions to prevent re-occurrence.
* Ensure that there are effective environment emergency response, based on applicable environmental emergency scenarios, procedures available and associates are adequately trained and the company is prepared in the event of emergency situation.
* Lead the internal audit process of the implementation and the environment management systems
* Manage and coordinate various external environment audits (EMS, ISO ‎14001, EPA…etc.) and lead the execution of the developed corrective action plans
* Sponsor and support the Reward and Recognition of Environment & Sustainability initiatives to recognize all associates who have contributed to the system enhancement and continuous improvement
* Involve in projects at all stages (design to completion) to ensure all environment and sustainability requirements are met.
* Support SES Action Teams performance through personal coaching and identifying training and development needs.
* Any other actions or responsibilities assigned by the direct manager that is in line and supports the job main purpose.
* Control records and documentation related to KEC EM systems
* Evaluate the environment services suppliers
TECHNICAL TRAINING:
* Establish the site development and training framework in liaison with P&O, L&D, and functional heads to consolidate the site training needs analyses and then issue the training plan and annual training calendar accordingly.
* list of trainings, training mode, training venue, training provider and timeline
* Monitor the process of: validation of specific skills, new process introduction, process improvement, sharing learning.
* Monitor the New Joiners Induction plan & progress follow up with the joiner functional head/line manager
* Monitor the progress VS the training plan by consolidating the update from each function as well as the post-training feedback, periodically
* Facilitate and monitor the selection process of training providers
Supply College SPOC for KEC (Single Point of Contact)
* Working together with Site/Supply Head to Influence and follow up with the supply team to deliver their input and commitment
* Single point of contact to share and monitor the supply college information's - In/Out including registration..etc
* Support Supply college representative or facilitator with the logistics as required
* Recognized EMS degree or Environmental IGC3 (NEBOSH) as a minimum
* Excellent command over English (Arabic is a plus), literacy in computer & MS Office Tools.
* Relevant educational degree or Environment Diploma is a plus
Work Experience:* Minimum ‎2 years in manufacturing industries with good
experience in technical learning and training.
