JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the
Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment,
support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi
Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel
safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and
weapons.

thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.
This role is responsible to the Typhoon Operations Manager through the Sqn Ops
Team Leader for the delivery of an efficient operations support function
tailor fit to the requirements of the RSAF.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Responsible for the smooth running of the Squadron Operations room and surrounding environment.
* Ensure that Mission data and debrief data is correctly prepared.
* Ensure all Flight Planning boards and activities for MSS Mission Planning support are controlled and maintained.
* Support the Saudisation process through the OJT and consolidation training of assigned RSAF technicians
* Support the company SHE policy through best practice within the work centre.
* Completing any other reasonable duties or requests that are made by your line management.
* Deputising for the Supervisor during periods of leave/absence to ensure operational capability is not compromised.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essen tial
* Must be educated to HNC level or recognised equivalent or have relevant experience supported by formal, recorded workplace applied related training.
* Must have extensive experience within a high tempo military squadron operations environment.
* Must have Operations and Mission Support knowledge (with extensive experience within a Squadron Operations role) including an understanding of mission planning support, flying programme maintenance and debriefing support.
* Extensive experience in a Squadron Operations supervisory role.
* Previous experience in delivering On the Job training to subordinates or counterparts
Desirable
* Broad aerospace and defence company/industry knowledge.
* An understanding of RAF and /or RSAF engineering operating procedures.
RECRUITMENT
* Ex-military with experience serving on an operational military flying unit.
* Must have attained experience working in a military aircraft maintenance environment.
* Thorough working knowledge of Squadron Operations and Mission Support. (Typhoon MSS preferable)
* Experience of working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country preferred.
* The ability to act upon their own initiative within the scope of their job.
* A conscientious approach to work and meticulous attention to detail is also required.
* A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.
* Excellent working knowledge of flying performance metrication and a solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel .
