To accompany our exponential growth in the Africa region, Fortinet EMEA
Marketing is seeking a Field Marketing Specialist in the IT Industry to help
further expand our customer footprint in the North Africa market by focusing
on building pipeline, lead generation and brand awareness activities. The
right candidate for this role will be a strategic thinker and have great
tactical execution skills.
Based in Egypt, this position will report to the Field Marketing Manager -
Africa. The Field Marketing Specialist will be working closely with sales to
understand their targets, priorities and key accounts and collaborate with
various EMEA marketing departments. The role will include working with the
channel team to lead and coordinate all channel marketing to-and-through
Fortinet Distributors and Resellers.
Responsibilities
* Develop and drive integrated marketing programs through best practices and a marketing mix that generate quality leads
* Leverage and localize a repeatable and systematic set of programs to drive demand with the right balance between in country and global campaigns
* Manage key marketing activities like lead gen campaigns, events (virtual and physical), industry conferences and sponsorships
* Provide reporting and analysis on field marketing activities
* General coordination of events such as, customer days and industry conferences. This includes the planning and follow up for each event
* Work closely with sales teams on VLE & Enterprise accounts to build "C" level contacts
* Social Media and PR knowledge, to work in collaboration with the EMEA communications team
* Collaborate with the Fortinet Automation and Creative team to create invitations and artwork in line with brand guidelines and approve branding when needed for events
* Manage and develop programs offered by Fortinet to distribution and channel partners (SI, VAR, MSSP, Telco) to increase revenue and brand mind share
* Analyze and measure results of channel partner activities, in close cooperation with their respective channel account managers
* Manage Fortinet's presence at partner conferences and events, supporting channel partners in organizing seminars and events, and leading the production of event materials
* Coordinate channel content creation and tools as needed (e.g., sales or marketing material, advertorials, channel and end user campaigns, landing pages and micro-websites)
* Other duties in assisting the marketing team
Profile / Education / Experience
* At least ‎5-‎7 years' experience in IT Marketing/high-tech, preferably IT Security
* Marketing or Business-related degree
* Good English, Arabic and French language communication skills, both written and oral
* North Africa, regional marketing experience
* Knowledge of CRM/sales/email automation systems and how to maximize them for efficient lead distribution and reporting (Sales Force or any other automation tool experience a plus)
* Proficient use of MS Office applications
* Complete understanding and demonstrated track record across all tactics, with integrated marketing, communications, and PR tactics to drive the pipeline: digital campaigns, call out campaigns, event management, high-touch tactics, etc.
* Demonstrated success in driving marketing campaigns and promotions to meet the revenue goals of sales teams
* Proven Channel Marketing experience including building marketing plans, follow-up and measurement with distributors and partners
* Strong business acumen
* Work cross-functionally to plan and execute successful marketing programs
* Ability to manage the planning and execution of programs in a deadline-driven environment
* Positive attitude, strong work ethic, responsive, very strong organizational, and communication skills, working with stakeholders at different levels
