We seek an experienced and well-qualified Teacher of MFL to lead our MFL
Department in September 2023. The successful candidate will teach French
across the Senior School with experience of IGCSE and IB desirable; the
ability to also teach Spanish to Ks3 level would also be an advantage. The
school has excellent facilities and resources for teaching MFL. The MFL
Department works effectively as a team sharing ideas and promoting learning.

To comply with Egyptian employment law, applicants must have QTS and a MINIMUM
of three years teaching post qualification teaching experience.
Remuneration
The British International School, Cairo (BISC) operates a similar teaching
scale to schools in the UK which increases with teaching experience. All
salaries are tax free and paid in Pounds Sterling. The current basic salary
for a teacher with three years ' experience is £34,000 p.a. while the salary
of the majority of staff (six years experience or more) is over £40,000 p.a.
In addition all overseas contract teachers benefit from a generous housing
allowance, private BUPA Gold medical insurance, annual return flights to the
UK, and 2 free places for children of school age.
