The Delivery and Investment Planning Team play a pivotal role in driving the
right investment for our product delivery to achieve the greatest value for
Vodafone. We work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders, collaborating
with Portfolio Clusters, Technology, Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and
Finance to establish a cadence and culture around best practices, and support
our product portfolios to work more effectively.
Role purpose:
You will take data from many sources and translate it into meaningful insights
to support the Delivery and Investment Planning Team to manage the budgets and
delivery progress for each Portfolio Cluster. You will provide a comprehensive
view of the CAPEX and OPEX budget numbers for each Portfolio, understanding
any transfers in and out, spend data, outlooks etc. This will include
providing clear analysis, trending and forecasting for key financial,
commercial, delivery, service, and various other KPIs relating to each
Portfolio.
Key to this role is the ability to source data and translate into relevant,
useful information that can then drive action and support recommendations for
the re-distribution of investment. You will also be responsible for evolving
and developing our analytics capability using the latest digital toolsets.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
* Provide analysis on each Product Portfolio's budget & delivery KPIs. *
* Generate reports and deliver presentations created from different source files (Actuals, Forecast, Targets etc)
* Proactive use of and reporting on Jira.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
* Advanced analytical and data interpretation Skills
* High fluency in English (spoken and written)
* Commercial (P&L) and sales awareness
* Pro-active problem solving skills
* Excellent PowerBI (DAX) and Excel skills to frame analysis in structured outputs for leadership discussions
* SQL and/or Python knowledge is a major advantage
* Strong communication skills and comfortable presenting to, negotiating and engaging with relevant data analysts in various functions
* Ability to understand complex financial and commercial scenarios and distil them into simple concepts.
* Can apply judgement based on analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated or new situations.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
* Analytical and budget experience is a must
* Advanced Power BI technical experience
* Strong planning and project management skills
