* PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Business Egypt Program is a five-year, USAID-funded program implemented by
DAI. Business Egypt aims to substantially increase sales revenues and
investments among Egyptian micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises and, by
so doing, create new job opportunities, especially for women and youth. The
project will co-invest with an ecosystem of institutions--business service
providers, business associations, supportive government institutions, and more
--to offer new products and services enabling MSMEs to better meet market
demand and increase their sales. Business Egypt's proposed sectors are
renewable energy, ICT, and 3 additional sectors TBD. The project will operate
from offices in Cairo, Alexandria, and Minya/Assiut (TBD).
2. POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Office Assistant will provide custodial and administrative support for the
project office.
3. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Facilitate opening & closing of project office on daily basis.
* Conduct daily check of office space to ensure daily cleaning is completed and work areas remain clean and safe.
* Support the HR & Operations Manager with logistics for meetings or events.
* Deliver and pick-up mail, messages, documents, packages and other items to and from the office, or any other location that may be required and requested by the HR & Operations Manager.
* Organize and secure all deliveries and provide support to visitors.
* Manage basic administrative duties.
* Organize and maintain records, office equipment, cleaning supplies and stationeries.
* Make photocopies of reports and correspondence as requested by the HR & Operations Manager
* Coordinate the maintenance and repair of office equipment as directed by the HR and Operations Manager.
* Other tasks as required.
4. QUALIFICATIONS
* 1 - 3 years of professional experience. High School diploma is preferred.
* Relevant work experience, preferably with an international organization.
* Demonstrated problem solving skills
* Strong integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to work independently.
* Strong communication skills in Arabic (reading, speaking and writing). Basic English skills preferred.
