About the Role* *
The EMEA mobility business is building an expansion team passionate about
growing supply in small and medium-sized cities with the objective of
addressing ~120 cities across 13 countries by the end of 2023.
The Business Development Team Lead is an outstanding opportunity to build and
lead an impactful team across a regional geographical footprint. You will
establish a highly achieving, resourceful, and motivated team of sales and
acquisition reps that will be Uber's first boots on the ground in a large
number of cities. These teams will develop strong expertise in offline driver
acquisition (slanging, registration points, stands at airports, etc) as well
as early-stage ecosystem building (i.e. encouraging and leading a network of
key referrers or advocates). They should also be able to identify and
intensify funnel bottlenecks that could prevent us from fully unlocking our
target markets.
In order to deliver on the above, you will work closely with the Field Growth
Manager, and the Regional Operations Lead coordinating the expansion program.
What You Will Do
As a Business Development Team Lead, you will coordinate a number of reps
within our key markets, focusing on the following core responsibilities:
* People management : Lead and nurture highly successful and engaged reps who get results. Monitor, evaluate, and develop the performance of individuals on your teams.
* Sales leadership : Drive your reps towards short and long-term market goals, ensuring the right people and outstanding sales processes are in place to get there.
* Local/regional teamwork : Facilitate focused and productive communication and teamwork among your reps and between your reps/cross-functional partners.
* Lead a successful sales team responsible for exceeding operational KPIs.
* Be a thought partner to the Regional Operations Lead, ensuring that we have the right approach in the cities we plan to launch and mature.
What You Will Need
* At least 1 year of experience as a team manager at Uber is required! (Make sure this experience is shown on your CV)
* You know what it takes to lead, guide and empower teams to achieve results!
* Interpersonal skills : You are a good communicator both orally and in writing and can easily adapt to audiences with different levels of seniority.
* Stakeholder management : You can lead multiple stakeholders from different parts of the business (Legal, Marketing, Product, etc) and can anticipate their needs and concerns.
* #GoGetIt : You are a fast executor with a hands-on approach.
* Previous sales, account management and customer service experience is preferred.
* Analytical skills (SQL, google sheets) are a plus.
