Main activities:
* Lead a team of mechanical Design engineers within the engineering team.
* Ensure adherence to client specifications, governing codes and standards, and good engineering practice.
* Leads the effort in the development of mechanical engineering hour estimates for proposed projects, develop man loading and schedule concurrence.
* Monitor team load Vs Capacity on regular basis and take cations based on it .
* Monitor the schedule, ensure that project objectives are met, monitor project controls and engineering execution within the approved budget.
* Responsible for reporting on engineering, design progress status.
* Enforces Quality in his/her team.
* Drive corrective and preventive actions with appropriate and detailed follow up.
* Initiate and runs status meetings with the mechanical team to discuss project issues, coordinate/plan key milestone efforts, etc.
* Develop and maintain best practices to foster the creative process.
* Develop working knowledge of product family in assigned area, with awareness of system design.
* Coordinate feedback from Sales and Production to continuously improve product designs.
Qualifications
* Recognized Bachelor 's degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or University.
* 10+ years of overall technical experience on mechanical Design.
* Minimum of 3 years in a Mechanical Lead role, supervising a medium team of Mechanical Engineers.
* Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, OneNote) preferred.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required.
