Speech Language Therapist (Pathologist)

Introduction

Our client is a private multi-specialty hospital in Kuwait. Their ‎130 bed
accredited facility includes inpatient rooms, labor rooms, neonatal units,
Intensive Care Units, Operation Theatres, Emergency Room, outpatient clinics
and sub-specialized medical/surgical fields. Currently, the hospital is
adopting an expansion plan to ‎230 beds.

Description

Your main responsibilities include:
* Perform the audio logical and vestibular testing of ENT patients referred to them.
* Performs procedures for tinnitus vertigo treatment.
* Works under the supervision of consultants/ registrars.
* Independent accurate testing of patients referred to audiology department.
* Prepare reports and statistical analysis as required and such reports will be prepared in a timely manner in accordance with the standards within the Department.
* Provides auditory evaluations and education by measuring and studying noise conditions; conducting hearing protection and hearing loss screening programs.
* Follows established policies and procedures.
* Attends regularly scheduled meeting for the improvement of patient care services and delivery.
* Maintains strictest confidentiality
* Provide speech therapy as needed, on occasions.
* Accept all other additional assignments found necessary by the Head of Department

Who are you

You are an Speech Language Therapist who provides diagnostic services by
assessing and treating neonate, hearing, balance, and communication and
swallowing disorders (infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric)

Skills & Competencies:
* Candidate must be a native Arab Speaker;
* Excellent communication skills in English (must be articulate);
* Broad range of experience in a variety of patient care settings including inpatient, outpatient and community;
* Competence in assessment and treatment of SLT issues in complex neurological conditions.
* Experience in a specialist role in a related field. Competence in addressing feeding issues in infants, knowledge of assistive communication devices

Education & Qualifications:
* Post graduate in Speech & hearing (Masters)
* ‎3 years' experience after Post Graduation
* Valid License and Registration
