Leidos is seeking experienced and talented professionals as we look to grow
and to work with the US Army, Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command as part of
the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities and Sustainment (ALECS)
contract. ALECS global, noncommercial services provides life cycle maintenance
to a wide variety of mission-critical systems and vehicles for TACOM and TACOM
's customers, to include USSOCOM, USCENTCOM, USEUCOM, USAFRICOM and the
Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) . ALECS will provide TACOM LCMC and
partner organizations with the capability to maintain high readiness rates for
selected fleets and users. We expect award in early Fall ‎2022.
Leidos will provide personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities,
transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and non-personal services
necessary to perform program management, inspection, maintenance, supply,
training, fielding, and facilities support within the Continental Unites
Stated (CONUS) and outside the US (OCONUS).
Leidos is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team in support of
these efforts.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for planning, organizing, securing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of Maintenance Division goals and objectives.
* Responsible for day-to-day operation and repairs, service, modification and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment in accordance with company policies and standards.
* Performs Supervisory Maintenance Manager (Deputy) duties for executing supervision, coordination, and control over all logistics aspects of field level maintenance support.
* Attends key decision and/or policy making conferences on logistical field level maintenance planning and support requirements.
* Evaluates work accomplished by either in-house or contractor operations as well as the Division itself for the adequacy and effectiveness in meeting program and regulatory requirements.
* Analyzes programs and projects to evaluate logistical effectiveness, to identify critical areas and anticipated impact of changes in requirements and resources.
* Manage a large team to include operations, administrative, mechanics, instructors, logisticians, and subcontractors.
* Develop formalized operating processes and procedures across all functional equipment commodity areas with special emphasis on maintenance and long-term sustainment of specialized equipment.
* Employ different maintenance and accountability systems such as DPAS, GCSS-A and Special Operations Asset Visibility Information Exchange (SSAVIE).
* Manage teams and personnel geography disperse. Establish and enforce a preventative maintenance program to ensure equipment is in safe and operable condition by planning and scheduling all preventative maintenance work, scheduling repairs and following up on equipment condition once repairs are completed.
* Maintain all equipment inspection, maintenance and safety records required by contract requirement.
* Ensure that all work and the shop facility is compliant to OSHA safety standards.
* Work with Operations Supervisor/Management and stakeholders to arrange for equipment to be released from service for inspections, service and repair.
* Schedule and conduct maintenance and safety meetings and document attendees and topics covered.
* Ensure employees follow safety guidelines and perform duties in a safe manner.
* Maintain cost-effective inventory of all supplies and parts and authorize and arrange for purchase of supplies, tools, parts, etc.
* Review work orders, maintenance schedules, equipment availability reports, and non-mission capable reports daily.
Required Experience:
* Experience as maintenance team supervisor/manager.
* Bachelor 's degree in a related discipline and minimum of ‎5 years' experience in maintenance operations, including performance of maintenance and repair of commercial or military equipment; or Master's degree in a related discipline and ‎3 years' experience. Additional related experience will be acceptable in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
* Experience supervising or leading team or projects
* Eligible to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Desired :
* Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
* Preferred areas of commercial or military experience are with light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
* Maintenance and logistics experience with USSOCOM Family of Special Operations Vehicles (FOSOV).
* Experience with the maintenance, training, and sustainment of CROWS (control remote operated weapons system).
* Formerly held equivalent MOS position in the Maintenance and Logistical military fields.
* Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification (any series).
